i equate the fourth of july to a criminal celebrating the end of his statute of limitations. independence from what? tyranny? oppression? iron fisted dictatorships hell bent on controlling the society with fear and undue regulations? hmm.... sounds awful familiar yes?
tomorrow i shall steal a car. one of great wealth. i shall park it in my garage under cover from police sight, possibly even get into a firefight over it. maybe even evict its original owner or his entire family from their homes in the process- if i so feel entitled. and then in six years, after the statute has passed i shall celebrate the fourth of july in my own manner by driving my car around town with an american flag rippling in the breeze created by the convertible top being set in the open position. its the american way baby.
i do however enjoy fireworks. and beer. and picnics. and outdoor sports. so...enjoy!!!!
