the one where they tell you
that the role of men will now be played by women.
i swear to you that chicks are the new dudes.
right down to the spitting, swearing , crotch grabbing,
emotional disconnect, and beer bellies.
i learn something new every moment
and pay no tuition.
unless you count emotional damage as payment for knowledge.

i swear its time to turn over a new leaf
the one where i stop my philandering
and start adventuring into social circles of respectability.
if only to find women who finish writing their phone numbers
before shoving their tongue in my mouth.
maybe a certain amount of decorum and class would be
a nice change of pace
in this world of the mouth flatulent
and amy winehouse romantic antics.

or maybe its time i nick-cave in
to the new courting habits of the new female breed
and just be happy that im making time with women
in the first place...
if they only knew what kind of heart beat in this chest
and the amount of shit ive shoveled into the deepest
pits and recesses of my mind.
