it seems every time you turn a corner there is another corner that needs negotiating
and its up to you to decide whether or not all these twists and turns lead you back where you started from
and if its even worth turning in the first place
or if going back from whence you came is such a good idea
as the starting point is always the end result of another corner that you chose to follow
and it makes you wonder
can the same pathway full of corners and short straightaways
ever change
or is it how you walk them
and in what condition you do so
that decides the result of the walk

so you choose not to turn left one night
and instead you are met by giant trees and cliff walls and fences of the barbed wire variety
all conspiring to force your direction back onto the primrose path
that of least resistance
but you swore that you wouldnt take that cursed left
so you hurl yourself from that cliffs edge and cling true to a tree branch
and you clumsily repel that massive structure to throw yourself over the gnarled metal fence
tearing your skin in the violent and awkward process
only to find that eventually lefts must be taken
in order to ever get home properly
and all the while you never considered
that all you needed to do was to take three rights and your journey would have been quicker
safer
more efficient
and infinitely more logical

but all roads lead back to home
and youre here now
wondering if tomorrows route will be any different from todays
and if you learned any lesson at all than it should
as its not the roads fault that you dont know how to traverse it
its the operators
i only hope that you fully understand that
before you take one more step
